Tourism vs Headscarf

Staff working at Kuredhoo Island Resort have alleged that the resort five months ago issued a notice stating that it would not be renewing the contracts of female staff members wearing the headscarf, and had since dismissed at least one staff member over the matter.

A staff member currently working at the resort told Minivan News that a notice regarding the matter was issued by the resort five months ago.

“There was a female staff member who wore the headscarf who was asked to leave her job two months ago because the resort’s management refused to renew her employment contract [because] she wears a headscarf,” he claimed.

A second staff member Minivan News spoke to also claimed the resort had notified staff that it would not renew the contracts of staff wearing the headscarf.

The allegation first appeared on the Dhivehi Post news blog, which quoted a female staff member at the resort as saying that elderly women living on a nearby island, employed by the resort for cleaning jobs, were issued the same notice.

Human Resources Manager at Kuredhoo Khadeeja Adam said she did not wish to comment on the matter and referred Minivan News to the resort’s General Manager.

Kuredhoo’s General Manager Andrea Nestle also refused to comment on the matter, but said the allegations she had read in her translation of the Dhivehi Post report were incorrect. She referred Minivan News to the head of Champa Trade and Travels in Male’, Abdulla Saleem.

Saleem told Minivan News that the resort policy was established by the resort’s management team, and said he had nothing to do with the policy. ”The management team works very independently and we have no influence on them,” he said.

Secretary General of the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), Mohamed ‘Sim’ Ibrahim, told Minivan News that the issue was a “very sensitive” one, “because some [guests] get a bit taken aback. Some are a bit worried about it because they associate the dress with fundamentalism and militant Islam.”

“We don’t want to encourage people to wear the full burqa when they are serving tourists at the front desk, the first line of contact with guests,” he said.“But we don’t have a problem with them working in the office, or in general. It’s up to the resort owner.”

He noted that the right to wear the headscarf was a fundamental right, but that it was also a legal right for a resort to designate its own uniform and dress code. minivannews

The power of appreciation

When a study was made a few years ago on runaway wives, what do you think was discovered to be the main reason wives ran away? It was "lack of appreciation." And I'd bet that a similar study made of runaway husbands would come out the same way. We often take our spouses so much for granted that we never let them know we appreciate them.
A member of one of our classes told of a request made by his wife. She and a group of other women were involved in a self-improvement program. She asked her husband to help her by listing six things he believed she could do to help her become a better wife.
He reported to the class: "I was surprised by such a request. Frankly, it would have been easy for me to list six things I would like to change about her - my heavens, she could have listed a thousand things she would like to change about me - but I didn't. I said to her, 'Let me think about it and give you an answer in the morning.'
"The next morning I got up very early and called the florist and had them send six red roses to my wife with a note saying: 'I can't think of six things I would like to change about you. I love you the way you are.'
"When I arrived at home that evening, who do you think greeted me at the door: That's right. My wife! She was almost in tears. Needless to say, I was extremely glad I had not criticized her as she had requested.
"The following Sunday , after she had reported the results of her assignment, several women with whom she had been studying came up to me and said, 'That was the most considerate thing I have ever heard.' It was then I realized the power of appreciation."

Queen Elizabeth plays the role of "referee"

Queen Elizabeth plays the role of "referee" and sends Dr Zakir Naik home after the Red Card. Dr Zair Naik has been banned from Entering into UK after misquoting while countless others had been granted security. These people claiming to be the descendants of the originators of the english language, suprises me as they delibrately misquoted Dr Zakir Naik's speech. Therefore, a job opportunity is available for those who wish to teach the originators of English ( Their own language ).

Darwinists' ''Artificial Life'' Deception

A report emphasized in Darwinist publications of late has entered the mainstream agenda. One part of an artificially manufactured DNA molecule was transferred to the nucleus of another cell and this DNA was observed to function within the cell. This subject, carried under misleading captions such as “synthetic genome brings new life to bacterium” and “creation of a bacterial cell” (surely Allah is beyond that) in various Darwinist publications has been made the tool of Darwinist speculation. Certain publications such as the Financial Times have even claimed that evolutionists have realized their endless dreams regarding creating life out of nothing. The fact is that the research in question represents no reply to the question of how life began, which Darwinists can never answer. On the contrary, this study is significant proof of the complexity of the DNA in the cell.

Clarifications on the subject are as follows:

- After artificially synthesizing one Mycoplasma genitalium (Mycoplasma mycoides) in the laboratory, the American scientist J. Craig Venter then installed it in the cell nucleus of another mycoplasma, and the cell continued functioning with this DNA.

- The procedures carried out are no different to the techniques known as cloning.

- A copy taken from the DNA of Mycoplasma mycoides, consisting of 1.08 million base sequences, was arranged under laboratory conditions and transferred into the cell of another living thing.

- No new DNA was manufactured, no information that did not exist before was produced, and no artificial DNA sequence was manufactured from nothing in the laboratory. DNA already exists in the cell. The procedure carried out is nothing more than existing DNA with its extraordinary information being taken and re-arranged and transplanted into another cell.

- The re-engineering in question was carried out under the control of conscious scientists aware of the extraordinary complexity of the information in DNA, in the most advanced laboratories and under controlled conditions, using an existing specimen that Allah had created from nothing, and experimenting for many years.

- This cloning procedure performed on a single bacterium could only be performed as the result of longer than 10-year research costing $40 million, by a core team of 20 scientists, with thousands of others in the background.

- This effort made by scientists in order for a single pre-existing specimen to be transferred by conscious individuals in a conscious environment revealed that not even one copy of the complex structure in question could be manufactured without an existing specimen, without conscious intervention and without technical equipment.

- The development in question is an excellent one in the name of science. As genome research progresses, it will be possible to copy DNA from living cells and transplant these into other cells. By Allah’s leave, this research will be used in many beneficial ways, such as curing various diseases. But all these things are conscious intervention in existing structures. To portray these conscious and controlled experiments performed on already existing structures as evidence for evolution is not only deceptive, but also an indication of Darwinists’ despair. It is feeble speculation used by Darwinists unable to explain the beginning and complexity of life.

- If Darwinists wish to prove their claims, then they must BE ABLE TO PRODUCE the components of life FROM NOTHING. After that, they have to explain how this might have come about as the result of blind chance, in an uncontrolled environment exceedingly dangerous to life, in the absence of any conscious intervention. The fact is that Darwinists are unable to produce EVEN A SINGLE PROTEIN under controlled conditions and as a result of conscious intervention. And it is impossible for them ever to do so.

- By this research, Darwinist scientists have once again proved, by their own hand, the complexity of life and that not even the smallest component of life can come into being by chance.

- It needs to be made clear that this result DOES NOT EQUATE TO LIFE. The living cell is a whole consisting of countless complex components, and only forms when all of these are present at the same time and place and combine to produce a complex organization. The transplanting of a single extraordinarily complex DNA is nothing more than replicating a very small part of an already existing system. Darwinists rejoicing at the existence of DNA obtained by copying are a far cry from accounting for the first living thing, in other words living cell, they, and there are insuperable obstacles to their doing so.

- Moreover, and most important of all, the research in question HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW LIFE BEGAN. The study does not eliminate the dead-end that Darwinists are in regarding the origin of life. This profound dead-end, that effectively demolishes Darwinism, is growing still worse and leading Darwinism to a state of total collapse.

- Jim Collins, professor of biomedical engineering from the University of Boston, opposed the speculation about the cloning research in question in Nature magazine, saying:

“The work reported by Venter and his colleagues is an important advance in our ability to re-engineer organisms; it does not represent the making of new life from scratch.”

Conclusion:

One feature of Darwinists is that they include their efforts to reproduce structures exhibiting the glory of Creation in the whole Darwinist furore, using all the Darwinist publications at their disposal and very large capital letters. Darwinist furore has recently begun being extensively used in this time when science has been shown to refute the theory of evolution. This means that Darwinists are in a terrible bottleneck.

For the theory of evolution, which tries to explain life in very simple terms, the building blocks of life must also be equally simple. So much so that everything about life must agree with these false and facile claims made by Darwinists who account for everything in terms of chance. Therefore, if the Darwinist claim were true, the imaginary first cell they maintain formed in muddy water should be nothing else than the water-filled balloon postulated by Darwin. But the truth is very different. Even just one of the proteins that make up life has an exceedingly complex structure. Darwinist scientists across the world have been striving for the same thing for 150 years, and have failed utterly: TO BE ABLE TO MANUFACTURE A SINGLE PROTEIN.

For that reason, depicting the cloning of DNA as evidence for evolution and the helpless writhing of Darwinists wishing to continue with their furore do not alter an important truth, and they deceive nobody. That important truth is the extraordinary complexity of life. The scale of the effort needed to understand one single part of that complex life or to obtain a copy of it makes that clear. The fact is that as these people try to understand a single DNA over tens of years in the laboratory, the glorious DNA molecules in each of the 100 trillion cells in their bodies keep on performing the tasks inspired in them in an extraordinary system and regularity. Because their Creator is Allah. Allah created them from nothing. Almighty Allah is the Lord of all things, the Creator of the earth and sky. Every single day, science will continue to provide new evidence that praises the glory of our Lord. Every new scientific discovery will continue to provide evidence of this majestic Creation. Almighty Allah says in one verse:

Yes, everything in the heavens and earth belongs to Allah. Yes, Allah’s promise is true but most of them do not know it. (Surah Yunus, 55)

Is it recommended to remain in the mosque from the time of the Fajr prayer until after sunrise?

Is it recommended to remain in the mosque from the time of the Fajr prayer until after sunrise? If it is, what are the virtues of doing so?

It is indeed a virtuous act to remain in the mosque after performing the Fajr prayer – engaging in the remembrance of Allah or in reading the Qur’ân – until the time of sunrise. The following has been narrated to that effect: Jâbir b. Samurah relates that after Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) offered the Fajr prayer, he used to remain seated in his place mosque a cross-legged position until the Sun had fully risen. [Sahîh Muslim]

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever offers the Morning prayer in congregation and remains seated, engaging in the remembrance of Allah until the Sun has risen, and then offers two units of prayer – he will have a reward equal to that of performing Hajj and `Umrah.” [Sunan al-Tirmidhî. Al-Albânî declares it to be an authentic hadîth in Sahîh al-Jâmi` (6346)]

Anas b. Mâlik relates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “That I sit with people remembering Allah from the time of the Morning prayer up until sunrise is dearer to me than emancipating four of Ishmael’s progeny.” [Sunan Abî Dâwûd. Al-Albânî declares it to be a good (hasan) hadîth]

Mu`âdh relates that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever remains in his place after offering the Morning prayer until offering in the late morning two units of the Duhâ prayer, and does so without saying aught but a good word, his sins will be forgiven even if they are more plentiful than the foam of the sea.” [Musnad Ahmad. Ibn Hajar al-`Asqalânî regarded it as a good (hasan) hadîth] And Allah knows best. Islamtoday.com

Musjidul-Aqsaa (Jerusalem), the environs of which We had blessed....."

Almighty Allah says in the Quran:
"Glory be to That Being Who transported his servant (Muhammad) by night from the Musjidul-Haraam (Makka) to the Musjidul-Aqsaa (Jerusalem), the environs of which We had blessed....."
(Surah Bani Israel, verse 1)

Rasoolullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said:
"Do not tie your luggage (i.e. do not travel) except to three mosques: the Musjidul-Haraam, this mosque of mine (in Madinah), and Musjidul-Aqsaa."

You are the most beloved...

While departing from Makkah, Rasullullah(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) halted on a plateau, faced the Qibla and said: "By Allah! You are the most beloved portion of Allah's earth to me, and verily you are the most beloved portion of the earth to Allah too. Verily you are the best, spot on the face of the earth. And the most beloved to Allah. If your people did not expel me, I would not have departed from you." (Al-Muatta)

Rasullullah(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) stated in a Hadith- "The best and the most beloved city on the face of this earth to Allah is Makkah." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

Hejaz Railway in Madina

The Hejaz Railway was a narrow gauge railway (1,050 mm (3 ft 5+1⁄3 in) track gauge) that ran from Damascus to Medina, through the Hejaz region of Arabia, with a branch line to Haifa, on the Mediterranean Sea. It was a part of the Ottoman railway network and was built in order to extend the previously existing line between Istanbul and Damascus (which began from the Haydarpaşa Terminal) all the way to the holy city of Mecca (eventually being able to reach only Medina due to the interruption of the construction works caused by the outbreak of World War I).
The railway was started in 1900 at the behest of the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II and was built largely by the Turks, with German advice and support. The railway reached Medina on September 1, 1908. Read More

Modern versions of islam and the maldives

A devout Muslim, Ibn al-Haitham believed that human beings are flawed and only God is perfect. To discover the truth about nature, Ibn a-Haitham reasoned, one had to eliminate human opinion and allow the universe to speak for itself through physical experiments. "The seeker after truth is not one who studies the writings of the ancients and, following his natural disposition, puts his trust in them," the first scientist wrote, "but rather the one who suspects his faith in them and questions what he gathers from them, the one who submits to argument and demonstration."
Descartes, the renowned French philosopher and mathematician, and, before him. Imam Ghazali in his book " Saviour from Misguidance" both chose 'doubt' as a point of departure for their enquiry into certainty. In fact, Descartes : used 'doubt as a means to reach certainty.

Descartes evolved the theory of doubt. He doubted everything, even his own self, yet when he thought of it he could have no doubt of its existence. And since there is no doubt without a doubter he made the famous statement "I think, therefore I exist". Of course he existed, but who brought him into that existence? It goes without saying that material objects are inanimate and devoid of the power of reasoning. But can an irrational being create a rational being? How could a person who does not possess something give it to others? READ MORE

The father of physics Ibn al-Haytham - ( The Secret Scientists-BBC )

Ibn al Haytham - Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥasan ibn al-Ḥasan ibn al-Haytham, Born in Basra Iraq in 965. Known in the West as Alhazen, Alhacen, or Alhazeni, he was the first person to test hypotheses with verifiable experiments, developing the scientific method more than 200 years before European scholars learned of it.
He made significant contributions to the principles of optics, as well as to anatomy, astronomy, engineering, mathematics, medicine, ophthalmology, philosophy, physics, psychology, visual perception, and to science in general with his early application of the scientific method.
In his massive study of light and vision, Kitâb al-Manâzir (Book of Optics ), Ibn al-Haytham submitted every hypothesis to a physical test or mathematical proof. To test his hypothesis that "lights and colors do not blend in the air," for example, Ibn al-Haytham devised the world's first camera obscura, observed what happened when light rays intersected at its aperture, and recorded the results. Throughout his investigations, Ibn al-Haytham followed all the steps of the scientific method.
Richard Powers nominated Ibn al-Haytham's scientific method and scientific skepticism as the most influential idea of the second millennium.
Recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physics Abdus Salam considered Ibn-al-Haytham "one of the greatest physicists of all time".
George Sarton, the father of the history of science, wrote that "Ibn Haytham's writings reveal his fine development of the experimental faculty" and considered him "not only the greatest Muslim physicist, but by all means the greatest of mediaeval times".
Robert S. Elliot considers Ibn al-Haytham to be "one of the ablest students of optics of all times".
The author Bradley Steffens considers him to be the "first scientist".
and Professor Jim Al-Khalili also considers him the "world's first true scientist".

Biruni - ( The Secret Scientists - BBC )

His full name was Abu Rayhan Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Biruni. He was born in September of 973 in Khwarezm, Khorasan and died in another city of Khorasan, Ghazna. He was a Tajik scholar and scientist and one of the most outstanding figure and learned man of his age.
Biruni had excelled in many fields of the knowledge of the day particularly in astronomy, mathematics, chronology, physics, medicine, and history.

In 1030, Biruni completed the book Tarikh al-Hind (History of India). Many scholars consider this masterpiece as the most important treatise on Indian history and culture before twentieth century. The degree of objectivity and details that is displayed in this book Tarikh al-Hind is without parallel for the time and it is still of great value to the contemporary scholars.

He also completed another major book almost in the same time. It is the book called Kitab al-qanun al-Masudi fi l-hay a wa l-nujum (Canon of Masudi) and was dedicated to the Sultan Masud son of Sultan Mahmoud Ghaznavid. This book is the largest and most important of Biruni's mathematical, geographical and astronomical studies.
Biruni himself has claimed to have authored more than one hundred treatise of varying length in his life time. They include works on arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, and toward the end of his career, works on medical sciences. His collection of Indian and Chinese minerals, drugs, potions and other concoctions, still not systematically studied and may be of immense value to pharmacology.

His broad knowledge of astronomy and geography led him to the verge of modern scientific ideas. He believed that the apparent movement of celestial bodies are due to rotation of earth around its axis and also made accurate calculation of latitude and longitude. On the basis of reports of various flotsam found in the seas, He reasoned that the continent of Africa must be surrounded by water. It was a deviation from the popular Ptolemaic geography which was popular in the West and asserted the continent of Africa extended indefinitely to the south. On examining the Indus Valley, Biruni correctly guessed that once it had been a shallow sea filled in through the centuries by alluvial deposits from the river. Biruni also explained the operations of artesian springs and wells in terms of modern hydrostatic principles. He also determined with remarkable accuracy the densities of more than a dozen precious stones and metals.
